Day 1: Australia –– Hanoi
Board a flight from Australia to Hanoi and get ready to start discovering the treasures of Vietnam. You will be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel for check in. Use the rest of the day to relax after the flight, or head out into the city.
Day 2: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B,L,D)
Travel from Hanoi to Halong Bay today. This journey takes you through the fertile farmland of the Red River Delta and concludes with your arrival at the UNESCO World Heritage Site-listed Halong Bay. The bay holds a number of islands and wind-eroded caves and grottoes and is particularly recognisable for the traditional Vietnamese junk boats that cruise its waters. The latter is how you’ll be experiencing Halong Bay tonight; step aboard your group’s junk boat and set sail for an overnight cruise.
Day 3: Halong Bay – Hanoi (B,L)
Early-risers can set their alarm for a Tai chi session on the top deck, or those that prefer a more leisurely start to the day can simply relax with a cup of coffee and take in their surrounds. Then clamber into a rowboat for trips out to some of the bay’s islands and return to the boat for breakfast. Lunch is also served aboard before the junk returns to the jetty and you disembark for the drive back to Hanoi.

Discover the winding streets of Hanoi’s Old Quarter and sample some traditional Vietnamese dishes, including stuffed pancake, banh mi and egg coffee. Additional cost applies.
Day 4: Hanoi – – Danang – Hoi An (B)
Be taken around Hanoi on a guided city tour and tick off some local attractions including the Temple of Literature, One Pillar Pagoda and Tran Quoc Pagoda. There is a flight to Danang and then a transfer to Hoi An.
Day 5: Hoi An (B)
Explore Hoi An by foot today. The entire town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is a favourite of visitors who come to admire its pretty riverfront promenade, French-influenced architecture, covered Japanese bridge and busy local market. The afternoon is free time.
Optional Tour (at own expense): Golden Bridge – The trip starts when our guide & car driver pick you up for the transfer. On arrival at the Ba Na mountain foot, we’ll travel by cable car up to the Marseille station. Get out and take a short walk to the Golden Bridge – a break point of the trip – to feel like walking on the clouds. Just newly opened to the public in early June 2018 the bridge which was built in the midst of the forest stands out in yellow. Noteworthy, this unique architecture with the bridge image supported by grey hands, creates a beautiful scenery surprised. Time for taking photos and enjoying the easy breeze, breathtaking view and afterwards, we’ll walk further to a romantic flower garden – Le Jardin D’Amour. The 9 gardens are 9 interesting stories in 9 unique architectural styles. These create a poetic and colorful space. Next, walk to visit Linh Ung Pagoda to admire its sophisticated architecture together with a 27m high Shakyamuni statue which brings us peaceful feeling as visiting this place. Finally, we’ll catch the cable car downhill and then transfer to Hoi An.
Optional Tour (at own expense): My Son Sanctuary & Thanh Ha Village. Depart the hotel for the 40km journey outside Hoi An. Arrive at My Son Sanctuary, a great sample of ancient Champa civilization situated in the southern region of Vietnam. Stand astounded by a great number of exquisite stone sculptures, temples and towers nestled in tropical jungle. There will be a traditional music show you can choose to enjoy. Around late morning, we will journey back to Hoi An.
Day 6: Hoi An –– Ho Chi Minh City (B,L)
Fly from Danang to Ho Chi Minh City. Be shown the city’s sights, including Notre Dame Cathedral, Ben Thanh Market and Saigon Central Post Office, on a half-day guided tour.
Day 7: Ho Chi Minh City – Free day of leisure or Mekong Delta (optional) (B)
A full day of leisure time for you to explore the city.
Optional: Mekong Delta Tour
Head to Ben Tre and board a cruise along the river, making stops at brickworks, coconut processing workshops and local villages along the way. Swap the boat for a motor cart or cycle and travel past rice fields and then enjoy lunch at a riverside restaurant. Take a rowboat along a palm-lined creek and towards Hung Vuong Pier to head back to Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 8: Ho Chi Minh – Cu Chi Tunnels (B,L)
Travel out of the city limits today to visit Cu Chi Tunnels. This underground tunnel network is Vietnam’s most visited site and gives an insight into the Vietnam War conflict.
Optional Tour (at own expense): Saigon Dinner Cruise – Dinner on Saigon River Cruise offers an opportunity to witness another side of Saigon. The city is not only a bustling metropolis but also a romantic land. Hop on a huge wooden barge and sail down the river. Feel the gentle breeze caressing your skin and enjoy a lovely dinner accompanied by the traditional music and dance performances.
Day 9: Ho Chi Minh City –– Nha Trang (B)
A transfer takes you to the airport where you can board a flight to Nha Trang. You will be met upon arrival and transferred to the hotel. Your relaxing beach break starts now!
Day 10: Nha Trang (B)
Today is at your leisure. Hit the beach, settle into a sunlounge at the hotel, or book onto a tour of the islands located off Nha Trang’s coast.
Optional Tour (at own expense): Nha Trang Island Tour and Snorkeling – Once you are picked up from your hotel and transfer to Nha Trang Port to board the luxury cruises. Arrival at the port where you will be greeted with a welcome drink. Introduction to Nha Trang Bay, the locals, the food, the culture, the country’s emperor, safety precautions, and the junk itself. Start cruising through the spectacular landscape of Nha Trang Bay passing by the Tam, Mot, in Nha Trang Bay. Your first destination is Soi Beach in Mieu Island to visit the temple where local people come to pray for their fortune followed by a 30-minute walk across the island to see villagers going about their daily business. Then pay a short visit to the Tri Nguyen Aquarium to view a variety of sea species of Nha Trang. Then, enjoy yourself at our private San Beach where you can go swimming, kayaking, snorkeling and enjoy some drinks and fruits. Alternatively, just relax under the big trees, enjoying the stunning views of the bay. Besides, there are many other activities on the beach which you can join such as Diving, Jetski, Para sailing and Banana boat which are all included. After so much activities, you will surely be hungry and it’s time to go back the junk for a sumptuous set lunch onboard with local beers, soft drink, fine wine, or premium spirits as the boat anchors near Hon Tre Island with its tranquil lagoon. After lunch, you can choose between relax or go finishing on boat. Next, visit a fish farm for exploring the beautiful landscape by basket boat. Cruise back to Nha Trang Harbor passing Vung Ngan floating village and Vinpearl Island, before catching a glimpse of the Bao Dai Villas as we return to the mainland.

Day 11: Nha Trang (B)

Optional Tour (at own expense): Sunset Cocktail & Dinner Cruise. Enjoy dinner and cocktail onboard the 5-star-cruise to witness shimmering Nha Trang from offshore. You will indulge yourself in four- hour- sea ride accompanied by the traditional music and dance performances and get stunned by the majestic ocean. Beginning your journey at 17.00 from your hotel you will be travelling by bus to the pier, followed by a sail along the coastline. First, enjoy a welcome drink onboard where you’ll admire the spectacular landscape of Nha Trang Bay at sunset. Continue your journey with cocktails & free flow of wines on the sundeck as you are entertained by musicians playing against the stunning backdrop of stars, the moon, and the city lights. Experience the gastronomical pleasure of enjoying a 5-course seafood dinner onboard while being serenaded and served by the Emperor Cruises team.
