Day 1: Australia – – Zurich
Make your way to the airport in time to catch your flight to Zurich in Switzerland!
Day 2: Zurich
Touch down on Swiss soil, in the dynamic city of Zurich. Take a transfer from the airport to Zurich HB, the city’s main train station. Find your way to the hotel and then have the rest of the day to explore Switzerland’s largest city at your leisure. There are excellent museums and galleries to explore, as well as shops, parks and interesting landmarks.

Day 3: Zurich – Lucerne (B)
You have breakfast at your hotel and then are transferred to Lucerne by rail. This city is a launchpad for your discovery of central Switzerland. Have this afternoon to discover its charms, no matter if you stroll along the banks of Lake Lucerne, wander between boutiques, or check out Chapel Bridge, one of Europe’s oldest wooden bridges.
Day 4: Lucerne – Mount Rigi – Lucerne (B)
On today’s agenda is an excursion to Mount Rigi. This peak is frequently called ‘Queen of the Mountains’ and is a key point in the Swiss Alps. This outing departs after breakfast at the hotel and takes travellers to the summit for extraordinary 360-degree views over the surrounding landscape – including some of the 13 nearby lakes and even the Black Forest in Germany. Today’s trip begins with either a paddle-steamer cruise or a motor trip to Vitznau, and also covers travel to Arth-Goldau before a train back to Lucerne.

Enjoy an evening of traditional Swiss culture and customs at Stadtkeller, a local restaurant in Lucerne. This performance showcases alphorns, cowbells, national costumes, flag throwing and yodelling, all while you dine on a hearty dinner – including dessert and one drink. Additional cost applies.
Day 5: Lucerne – Bellinzona (B)
Travel aboard the Gotthard Panorama Express from Lucerne to Bellinzona today. The first leg is a trip on a paddle steamer across Lake Lucerne to Flüelen, and then swap water for rail travel as you set out on the world-famous Gotthard train to climb to 1100 metres above sea level! Pass through the Gotthard tunnel – a crucial link between the country’s north and south – and emerge in Ticino, the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland. Tonight is spent in Bellinzona.
Day 6: Bellinzona (B)
Take today to get to know Bellinzona, the capital of this canton. The city is recognised for its trio of well-preserved medieval castles; two of which are perched upon nearby hilltops. Soak up the mix of Swiss-Mediterranean culture and admire the city’s collection of neo-Classical architecture, restored houses and surrounding fortifications. Be sure to visit Castelgrande, the city’s oldest and arguably grandest castle, for sweeping outlooks over the Old Town.
Day 7: Bellinzona – – Venice (B)
Depart Bellinzona after breakfast and board a train that whisks you across the Swiss-Italian border towards Venice. Your morning train service (leaving approximately 10.59am) arrives into Venice at about 3.40pm. Make your own way to the Venice hotel and have the rest of the afternoon as free time. You might relax in the hotel, or get out to explore the twists and turns of the laneways and canals for which this city is so famous.

Day 8: Venice – Embark on Royal Caribbean Cruise (B, D)
Become acquainted with your sea legs as you depart on your Royal Caribbean cruise today. Make your own way to the port and begin the embarkation process. Your vessel for this cruise is the elegant Rhapsody of the Seas.
Day 9: Kotor (B, L, D)
The cruise makes its first port of the sailing itinerary as it docks in Kotor in Montenegro. This fortified town is nestled between the limestone cliffs of Mt. Lovcen and the glorious waters of the Adriatic. Your time in Kotor is your own and you can use this opportunity to wander the medieval streets of the Old Town, learn about the historic architecture, or head out to Our Lady of the Rocks to take in this island-perched church. Rest your feet in a café in any of the town’s piazzas, or pick up souvenirs from one of the local boutiques.
Day 10: Corfu (B, L, D)
The Rhapsody of the Seas arrives in Corfu. This Greek island is fringed by the azure water of the Ionian Sea and has a fascinating history that you can uncover today. As you meander the island, appreciate its smattering of old Venetian fortresses, former palaces, elegant monasteries and stretches of glorious shore and beach.
Day 11: Athens (B, L, D)
Step foot off the boat and into the ancient Greek capital of Athens today. The legacy of this history is one for the ages, and there is a dazzling number of things to see, do and experience. One favourite is marvelling at the Acropolis and learning about its millennia-old history. Plus the view from its hilltop site is almost unbeatable. Other ancient sites to visit include the Parthenon and Temple of Poseidon. When hunger hits from all this sight-seeing, tuck into local fare such as saganaki, moussaka, spanakopita or pastitsio.
Day 12: Mykonos (B, L, D)
Sail to Mykonos today, one of the most glittering destinations to make up the iconic Greek isles. Fringed by the Aegean Sea and boasting buzzing beach clubs, white-washed houses and sites housing ancient Greek ruins; Mykonos is understandably one of the most popular go-tos for travellers in Greece. You have the day to explore Mykonos however you like.
Day 13: Argostoli (B, L, D)
The cruise docks in Argostoli today. This port town is located on Kefalonia and is home to a pretty square, as well as historic churches, museums and a Clock Tower. If you want to explore further afield, you will find quiet beaches and an excellent national park. Remember to pack your swimmers and sunhat into your day bag for your time ashore today!
Day 14: At Sea (B, L, D)
Today is your last full day aboard this deluxe cruise and it is spent at sea. As the Rhapsody of the Seas makes its way back towards Venice, be sure to continue to utilise the ship’s facilities and amenities. Find a seat for one of the live shows; practice laps in the swimming pool; book in for a massage or treatment at the spa; order a favourite dish from one of the restaurants; or spend time on deck sipping refreshing sundowners and committing the passing scenery to memory.
Day 15: Venice – – Australia (B)
Disembark from the Rhapsody of the Seas following breakfast and, at the necessary time, make your own way to the airport to begin the return journey to Australia.
