Board your flight to beautiful Maun, Botswana to begin your African experience. 

Day 2: Maun – airplane-takeoff – Okavango Delta (L, D)

Following your international flight landing at Maun, you will be met by a representative before boarding a connecting flight that takes you to the UNESCO World Heritage listed Okavango Delta. Here, you’ll have the chance to experience something truly incredible: over 530 species of birds, 160 species of mammals and 1500 species of plants! You’re guaranteed to spot a plethora of wildlife during your stay, including elephant, buffalo, hippopotamus, lechwe, giraffe, lion, leopard, zebra and more. See how many you can spot!

In the late afternoon, indulge in a delicious high tea before enjoying a sundowner in the middle of Okavango as the sun sets on an unforgettable day. 

Day 4: Okavango Delta – airplane-takeoff – Kasane – Chobe National Park (B, D)

Enjoy one last open-air game drive in Okavango Delta before flying to Kasane, the gateway to Chobe, where you’ll be transferred to Chobe Safari lodge. Settle in to your deluxe accommodation before heading out on your evening open-air game drive. 

Day 5: Chobe National Park (B, D)

Depart on an early morning game drive this morning. Located in Botswana’s far northeastern corner bordering Namibia, Zimbabwe and Zambia, Chobe National Park is famous for hosting the largest herds of massive elephants, along with other incredible African wildlife. You’ll travel along the Chobe River to gain a different perspective on your stunning surrounds, before making your way back to the lodge for breakfast. The rest of the day is yours as leisure.

Day 6: Chobe National Park  – Victoria Falls (B)

A short transfer brings you to the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe, home to the thundering Victoria Falls. Known as the greatest curtain of falling water, this UNESCO World Heritage listed site is sure to take your breath away. Measuring at 1,708 metres wide and 108 metres high, the Falls are one and a half times wider than Niagara Falls and twice as high! After checking into your hotel, spend the rest of your day at leisure. 

Optional tour: Sundowner river cruise

Sit back and relax as you cruise your way across the Zambezi River. Be on the lookout for local wildlife including hippos, crocodile, elephants and more. Additional cost applies.

Day 7: Victoria Falls (B)

After breakfast, enjoy a three hour guided tour to discover how the Falls were formed and what local customs and traditions surround them. This tour will provide an appreciation of the world-famous site and just how close it is to the town centre. Be prepared for it’s incredible beauty and power of the mighty Falls.

Day 8: Victoria Falls – Livingstone – airplane-takeoff – Kruger National Park (B, D)

Day 9: Kruger National Park (B, D)

A stunning open-air game drive through Kruger National Park is worth the early wake-up call. Ensure you bring your camera along as you will be spotting the Big 5 in their natural environment. Arguably one of Africa’s most famous parks steeped in legend and history, iconic Kruger National Park is a popular site for ticking off lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant and buffalo. The game drive is led by an expert guide and lasts between six and eight hours. Return to the lodge in the evening and freshen up before indulging in a sumptuous 3-course dinner. 

Day 10: Kruger National Park (B)

Spend today at leisure. There are various activities available at your lodge which can be organised with the friendly staff who treat you like family. These may range from spa treatments to close-up Elephant encounters (pending availability). Alternatively, you may wish to lay be the plunge pool to soak up the African sun.

Day 11: Kruger National Park (B)

Another early start as you again head into the park for your second game drive. Keep a look out for any wildlife you may have missed the first time around. Observing wild animals in their natural habitat remains a surreal experience not to be missed.

This morning you’ll enjoy a tour of Afrogem. A leading jewellery manufacturer in South Africa, the tour offers a great opportunity to learn how smelted gold is set with gems and stones. It is then onto Table Mountain where you will take a cable car up to the summit. Admire the stunning views of the Cape Town cityscape and then make your own way back to the hotel to continue enjoying the day at your leisure. 

Day 15: Cape Town (B)

Today is yours to do as little or as much as you like.

Optional: Franschhoek Wine Tram Tour

Head into Cape Town’s neighbouring wine region to explore the magnificent Franschhoek Valley. Pass by vine-dotted pastures, acclaimed eateries and beautiful scenery along the way. Robben Island is located within Table Bay, off the coast of Cape Town. It is perhaps most notorious as the holding place of Nelson Mandela while he was imprisoned for 27 years. Additional cost applies.

Day 16: Cape Town (B)

On today’s itinerary is a full-day tour of the Cape Peninsula. Head to Cape Point for incredible outlooks across the peninsula, however the drive to the Point is just as scenic. Explore Cape Point Nature Reserve and try your luck spotting baboons, rhebok and eland, and look out to the point where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet. There is also an option to visit a penguin colony (additional cost applies). On the return to Cape Town, stop at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens. Tonight is your final evening in South Africa.

Day 17: Cape Town – airplane-takeoff – Australia (B)
