Follow in the footsteps of ancient Pharaohs, Lawrence of Arabia and biblical figures on a 25 day Highlights of the Middle East tour

Your incredible adventure through Arabia begins in the Egyptian capital of Cairo. Have your ‘pinching’ pose at the ready for when you visit the Great Pyramids of Giza and the graceful Sphinx and learn more about the extraordinary ancient history by wandering between displays and artefacts at the acclaimed Egyptian Museum. Journey to Luxor aboard an overnight sleeper train and step onto an opulent cruise ship that will ferry you along the iconic Nile river for 4 nights. This voyage includes stops at the Valley of the Kings, Edfu, Aswan and Abu Simbel. Return to dry land and spend time in both Alexandria and El Alamein.

Board a flight to Jordan – one of the world’s trending travel destinations – and touch down in Amman. Walk the grand streets of Jerash and count off its Greco-Roman ruins before slipping off your shoes and wading into the infamously salty waters of the Dead Sea. Venture into the untamed wilds of Wadi Rum by jeep and make for a Bedouin camp where you’ll spend the night sleeping beneath the stars. Feel your jaw drop as you follow the Siq and round the corner to the entrance at Petra, the once-lost city of the Nabateans. Be shown Petra’s network of rock-carved dwellings and tombs and then return the following morning to admire its beauty in a different light.

Cross into the Holy Land to tour Israel from Jericho to Nazareth and Acre. Visit some of Jerusalem’s most sacred sites including Mount of Olives, the Church of All Nations and Lions’ Gate. Be shown Jericho on an orientation tour and journey across the Judean Desert on a guided experience to Masada and Qumran
