Highlights

Explore the incredible heritage of medieval cities, imposing sights and rugged wilderness as you journey to the likes of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and more on a 23 day Majestic Eastern Europe tour with Russia and flights.

Get your first taste of this country’s heritage in Moscow as you are introduced to the main sights on a guided city tour. The Russian capital is teeming with instantly-recognisable landmarks and you’ll see many on this excursion, including Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Red Square and Lenin’s Mausoleum, and St. Basil’s Cathedral. Jump aboard a high-speed Sapsan train for the journey to St Petersburg, the Baltic Sea-perched city that was Russia’s imperial capital for almost two hundred years. Delve into its royal legacy at the Winter Palace, Peterhof and State Hermitage Museum.

Cross over into Estonia to further your exploration of Eastern Europe. Have time in the area surrounding Lahemaa National Park, set out on a city tour of Tallinn, and sit down to a private dinner at a vodka museum. Move from Estonia to Latvia and stop for a tasting at a local beer brewery along the way. Roam around the Latvian capital, taking in Riga’s best landmarks, on a guided sightseeing excursion and count off the National Opera House, Freedom Monument and Swedish Gate as just some of the things you’ll admire. Lithuania is next up on the tour itinerary with time in Vilnius (including a city tour) and then trips through Kaunas and Suwalki as the group heads into Poland. Admire the beauty of the Masurian Lakeland and learn about local WWII history at the Wolf’s Lair site, and wander through Warsaw to appreciate the Polish capital’s cityscape of Gothic churches, Soviet-era architecture and modern structures. Swing past Jasna Gora Monastery on the drive to Krakow and have two nights in this beautiful metropolis to really value its most culturally and historically important sights. Overnight in Poznan and make the final leg of the tour as you travel to Berlin. Be in awe of places such as Brandenburg Gate, Unter den Linden, the Reichstag and Potsdamer Platz.
