VIA Rail Canada:

Train Sleeper Touring Class Berth – by day, they form two couch style seats facing each other. By night, berths convert to curtained, semi-private compartments with two stacked beds, with access to a shared shower and toilet. You’ll also be provided with shower kits including shampoo, soap and fresh towels. At night, the upper berth is lowered forming one bed (no window) and the lower benches pull out to meet and create a second bed. Train staff drape the area with two heavy half-curtains to ensure privacy and a ladder is added to access the upper berth. These beds are 70×33 inches and 178×109 cm. As a safety measure and a concern for all passengers’ comfort, beds are made and ladders are put away each morning no later than 10:00 am. Berth accommodations do not have electrical outlets, although the public washrooms do have a large mirror and electrical outlet for use.

Private Cabin – The cabin for 2 is a private space supplied with two armchairs, a walk-in private washroom, separate sink/vanity mirror, a small closet, fan, call button, double bunk-style beds that lower and fold down from the wall, electrical outlet, and shower amenities. There is one public shower/dressing room per car. By night, the service attendant collapses the two armchairs and pulls out two comfortable bunks adorned with comforters and completed with personal reading lights. The room is 87×60 inches or 214×152 cm with an additional private bathroom area.

Departure transfer: Departure transfer to Calgary airport is based on one group transfer. You may share your departure transfer with other travellers.

Tipping:

If you have enjoyed the knowledge, service and expertise of the local tour guide and driver a tip (while not compulsory) is appropriate towards the end of your trip. While it may not be customary in Australia, tipping is entrenched into many cultures especially within the tourism industry globally. It helps reward and inspire excellent service. The following is provided to assist our guests, but we leave the decision to provide a gratuity entirely at their discretion:

• Tipping and service charges vary between 10% and 15% for taxis, restaurants and clubs.
• Hotel and airport porters expect CAD $1 per bag carried.
• The tour guide: Our past guests have left gratuities based on their overall service of CAD $6 per person per day.
• The driver & assistant: Our past guests have left gratuities based on their overall service of CAD $4 per person per day.

On trains, you are free to tip your server in the dining car and the individual responsible for your room or berth in the sleeper car. Do remember, however, that the crew may change several times on long journeys.

Health: Different levels of travel involve varying degrees of activity and we recommend a good level of fitness and health in order to fully experience the package and optional tours purchased, including site-seeing by foot, climbing of stairs and extended day touring. It remains each passenger’s responsibility to inform Webjet Exclusives of any health or mobility issues that may impact the running of the tour, both for the safety of the passenger concerned and for other travellers in the group.

• Any additional accommodation outside the tour itinerary will need to be arranged at your own expense. Any alteration to the original flight itinerary offered will forfeit the included airport transfer (if applicable) and you will need to make your own way to and from the airport.

Cabin/Class Upgrades (where applicable):

• The quote will be sent via email only. Failure to pay by the stipulated date and time will result in the quote expiring, by which Webjet Exclusives will proceed to book the economy airfare included in your package.
• A flat fee of $350.00 per person for this service, plus any additional airfare and taxes will be quoted if choosing to upgrade your flights to another cabin class.
