- Tipping and service charges vary between 10% and 15% for taxis, restaurants and clubs.
- Hotel and airport porters expect CAD $1 per bag carried.
- The tour guide: Our past guests have left gratuities based on their overall service of CAD $6 per person per day.
- The driver & assistant: Our past guests have left gratuities based on their overall service of CAD $4 per person per day.
On trains, you are free to tip your server in the dining car and the individual responsible for your room or berth in the sleeper car. Do remember, however, that the crew may change several times on long journeys.
