Today is the day many have been waiting for, Angkor Wat! We head off in the morning to visit the most famous of all the temples on the Angkor plain – Angkor Wat. The temple complex, covers 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Its distinctive five towers are emblazoned on the Cambodian flag and the 12th century masterpiece is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture. Angkor Wat’s five towers symbolize Meru’s five peaks, the enclosed wall represents the mountains at the edge of the world and the surrounding moat symbolizes the ocean. Continue your visit to the jungle covered temple of Ta Prohm, an incredible sight. There are enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers which embrace themselves in the stone foundations of the structure giving the impression of man’s creation being reclaimed by the powerful forces of nature. We explore this masterpiece as well as some of the surrounding temples including Banteay Kdei, Sra Srong, Ta Keo, Thommanon and Chau Say Tevado. Visit the ancient capital of Angkor Thom (12th century); see the South Gate (with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk), Bayon Temple (unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara), the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King.

This morning you’ll have some free time before your airport transfer for your flight to Phnom Penh. On arrival you’ll be met at the airport and transferred to the beautiful town of Kep. Approx. 2.5 hour journey.

Free day at leisure to explore Kep – a beautiful seaside town famous for its Crab Market, Kep pepper, Kep beach, Rabbit Island, Colonial villas and the scenic Kep National Park.
Day 6: Kep (B)
Free day at leisure or make your own way to explore the neighbouring town of Kampot. A riverside town that has a dreamy quality with streets rimmed by dilapidated shophouse architecture, French colony buildings, Bokor Mountain (Bokor Hill station) and an array of nice restaurants.
Day 7: Kep – Phnom Penh (B)
This morning you’ll have some free time before the 3 hour drive to Phnom Penh.
Day 8: Phnom Penh (B,L)
This morning we take in everything Phnom Penh has the offer. Firstly we will be heading to the Choeung Ek Killing Field and learn about the atrocities that took place here. We will continue to visit The Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, a former school served as Khmer Rouge prison.
After lunch at a local restaurant, we will explore The Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, National Museum and Wat Ounalom. Finally we will enjoy seeking for unique souvenirs at the Central Market. Get dropped off back to hotel. Leisure evening, overnight in Phnom Penh.

Prek Thnout CBET Site was established in 2007 under support from an environmental NGO called Save Cambodia’s Wildlife. Located in the mountains of Bokor National Park, Prek Thnout offers a great scenery to its visitors. Tourists can follow the boardwalk of the mangrove forests to one of the waterfalls (in the rainy season, no waterfalls in dry season) or do a guided walk to learn about the environment, traditional ceremonies and food cooked by local people.
Fireflies often appear during the night which makes the atmosphere even more special. There is also the opportunity to learn more about non-timber-forest-products like rattan or bamboo which are grown in Kampot Province.

We drive to Bokor National Park where you will drive up the winding 35 km road through lush jungle scenery to the cooler summit hill station. Start excursions at Bokor Mountain. Whole day historical and scenery tour.
French Palace Casino & resort – This grand and hauntingly beautiful colonial building used to be part of the French resort town for social elites to escape from the humidity & heat of Phnom Penh. Construction started in 1917 and it is almost 100 years old!
Old Catholic church – The Old Catholic church at Bokor Hill Station looks like the priest has locked it up only yesterday. Inside, bits of glass still cling to the corners of the windows and the altar remains intact.
Wat Sampov Pram aka 5 boats Wat – The name Wat Sampov Pram or 5 boats Wat came about because the five oddly-sculpted rocks nearby resembled boats. It was named after The Legend of the Pagoda of Five Sailing Boats.
Popokvil Waterfall has 2 levels and it is the best place to relax and reunite with nature. Also you can have lunch at local restaurant with Khmer specialties such as grill chicken, fried fish, etc.
In the afternoon we continue for Scenic walking trails & real jungle trekking to explore beautiful and wild Cambodian jungles. We take a boat for a short journey to the charming and secluded island of Koh Tonsay, Lapin Island. The main beach is lined with palm trees and you will have some free time to enjoy the fine sand and turquoise waters.
We then drive through beautiful landscapes of rice paddies dotted with sugar palms, traditional wooden houses and karst cliffs to the caves of Phnom Chhnork. Inside the cave you will see the ruins of a brick temple of the 7th century. We then go to the caves of Phnom Sla’ang, if you have the adventurous soul you can climb through this cave and reappear magically in the light on the top of the hill, rewarded by one of the most beautiful views on The countryside and the gulf of Thailand and its many islands. The less adventurous will be able to take a path outside the cave and will have the same view. In the 60’s Kampot was world renowned for its very aromatic pepper, and you will visit a pepper plantation.
Kep – Kep Caves Tour by Tuk Tuk – $169 per person

After breakfast, in the morning departure to visit Kampong Trach 35km to the northeast from Kep town and you will see the cave gate to your right. The limestone caves are quite big and there are many children waiting to guide you. In side of the cave you find a big reclining Buddha as well as some smaller statues. There is also a small lake inside the cave (swimming cave), then return to Phnom Chhnuk it’s towards Kampot, turn right you will reach the Caves of Phnom Chhnuk, its limestone mountain dot the landscape and cave, what make a Phnom chhork unique is that the main cave contain the remains of brick temple that date back to the funan in the 7th century.
