Highlights

There is no other destination in the world quite like South Africa and you’ll be quick to discover why on a 15 day Best of South Africa tour, including travel aboard the lavish Blue Train.

Your experience begins in the most spectacular fashion (and in one of South Africa’s most iconic locations): Kruger National Park. You have five incredible nights at the park, staying in a magnificent lodge that includes sumptuous 3-course dinners every night. The open-air game drives included in your time here are sure to be a highlight of your entire trip to South Africa – especially if you tick off sightings of all of Africa’s Big 5.

Move from Kruger National Park to another of South Africa’s iconic symbols: the majestic Blue Train. Your journey aboard the Blue Train starts in Pretoria and concludes in Cape Town. Along the way, you are treated to all meals – as well as aperitifs and digestifs – and you are sure to find it all too easy to settle into the bygone luxury of your surrounds.  Enjoy an off-train excursion to the Big Hole in Kimberley.

A rich itinerary awaits in Cape Town. Those with a soft spot for all that glitters will love the visit to Afrogem to see how precious pieces of jewellery are created by skilled artisans. Ascend to the summit of the view-blessed Table Mountain in a cable car and explore the natural treasures of the Cape Peninsula on a full-day tour. Have more wildlife encounters as you spot rhebok, eland and baboons in Cape Point Nature Reserve, and admire the pretty blooms with a stroll through Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens.

Those eager to explore more of South Africa’s wondrous beauty can take up the option to extend the tour to a 20 day itinerary. This includes travel along South Africa’s famed Garden Route, a stunningly scenic drive along the country’s southwest tip.
