Day 1: Australia –airplane-takeoff– Johannesburg

Depart Australia today to begin your Africa safari! 

Day 2: Johannesburg – airplane-takeoff– Nelspruit – Kruger National Park (D)

On arrival in Johannesburg, you will take your connecting flight to Nelspruit Airport, the airport for Kruger National Park. Upon arrival at Nelspruit, you will be met by a representative of your lodge and transferred to your luxury accommodation. Later this evening enjoy a 3 course dinner for your first night in Africa.

Day 3: Kruger National Park (B,D)  lion-icon

Today, start with an early morning game drive in the Kruger National Park. Ensure you bring your camera along as you will be spotting the BIG 5 in their natural environment. The abundance of species you will see will be an experience of a lifetime. Get up close to the animals in your specialised safari vehicle lead by an expert guide. The game drive is approximately 6-8 hours. Later this evening, enjoy a sumptuous 3 course dinner while swapping stories of your animal encounters earlier that day. 

Day 4: Kruger National Park – optional Swaziland Tour (B,L,D) 

Optional Swaziland Day Tour (own expense, please refer to the fine print) After an early breakfast, enjoy a tour of Swaziland where you will visit a Swazi Village and gain insight to the Swazi culture and traditions. The tour includes an authentic African lunch, dancing and you will also have an opportunity to interact with the local community.

Rise early for your second guided day Safari in the Kruger National Park. You might spot the wildlife you missed out on your first Safari and enjoy the majestic wildlife. Later the evening enjoy a 3 course dinner discussing the day’s activities.

Day 6: Kruger National Park – optional Panoramic Tour (B,D) 

Optional Panoramic Tour (own expense, please refer to the fine print)  Rise early for one of the most scenic tours in South Africa. The tour explores the North Eastern escarpment of the Drakensberg and includes a visit to Blyde River Canyon, Gods Window and Bourkes Potholes which is a geological phenomenon.

Today is your last day in Kruger National Park. Enjoy a day of leisure before a memorable sunset guided game drive in the Kruger National Park. In the evening, enjoy your final 3 course dinner.   

Day 8: Kruger National Park – Nelspruit — Johannesburg (B)

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Nelspruit Airport for your flight to Johannesburg. On arrival, please make your own way to the hotel. Please note, the hotel offers a free return airport shuttle service and the collection/drop off point is 30 meters from the exit of the airport. The remainder of the day is at leisure. 

Day 9: Johannesburg –airplane-takeoff– Nairobi (B) 

After breakfast, make your way back to the airport for your flight to Kenya. On arrival, you will be me and transferred to your Nairobi hotel.  

Day 10: Nairobi –airplane-takeoff– Masai Mara National Reserve (B,L,D)  lion-icon

This morning after your breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Masai Mara National Reserve, often referred to as “the safari jewel”. On arrival, you will be met and have a game drive en route to the camp where you will settle in at the Camp; an exclusive tented eco camp set up in a forest along the banks of the Mara River within the Masai Mara Reserve offering guests an authentic close to nature experience.

After breakfast, your day will be filled with various activities such as early morning and late afternoon game drives, nature walks, evening drinks by the campfire and so much more! The more energetic can learn how to shoot with a bow and arrow as well as learn how to throw a spear or rungu.  Today you will also visit a local Masai village to observe the traditional Masai way of life and learn about the customs of the Maa tribe. The staff will be available to talk about Masai customs and culture around the campfire in the evenings. 

Day 12: Masai Mara National Reserve (B,L,D) lion-icon

Today you have the option of enjoying an early morning hot air balloon ride looking out over the stunning landscape of the Mara Plains or enjoy an early morning Game drive.

Day 13: Masai Mara National Reserve – Nairobi –airplane-takeoff–  Australia (B)

After an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to Nairobi and onward flight home to Australia.

Depart Australia today to begin your Africa safari! 

Day 2: Cape Town

On arrival at Cape Town airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 3: Cape Town (B)

After an early morning breakfast, enjoy a full a day tour of the Cape Peninsula. The tour includes a trip to Cape Point at the southern western tip of the Cape Peninsula with the most spectacular views. The Cape Point Nature Reserve comprises of 17300 acres of indigenous fauna and flora. Here you can see wildlife that includes baboons, rhebok, Cape Mountain Zebra and the elusive eland. Bird watchers will also find many fine species to observe.  Before returning to your hotel, you will stop over at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens for a short walking tour of the beautiful gardens.

Day 4: Cape Town (B)

Today we take a short tour of Afrogem, where you will experience how smelted gold is transformed, and watch the craftsmen set semi-precious stones into elegant jewellery. You will then be transferred to the Table Mountain Cableway where you will ascend to the top of Table Mountain by the revolving Cable Car. After your descent, make your own way back to the hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 5: Cape Town (B)

Optional Wineland tour – Franschoek (own expense, please refer to the fine print). After breakfast, you will be collected at your hotel for a Wine Tram excursion tour in Franschoek. Enjoy some wine tasting, buy some excellent Cape wines or enjoy a cellar tour and lunch (own expense). Later in the afternoon you will be transferred back to your hotel

 Day 6: Cape Town –airplane-takeoff– Nelspruit – Kruger National Park (D)

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Cape Town airport for your onward flight to Nelspruit Airport, the airport for Kruger National Park.   • Final Payment is due 60 days after initial deposit. Once this payment is made, no cancellations or amendments are permitted and all prior payments become strictly non-refundable. If you book within 120 days of travel, you will be sent an invoice within 7 days for final payment.
