Day 5: Amsterdam (B,L,D) cruise-icon

Amsterdam is the largest city in the country and the capital of the country, but not the city of residence for the royal couple and the government. The city’s history can be traced back to the 13th century, as it was a smaller fishing community on the banks of the river Amstel. Later a dam was set up to create a harbor at Amstel and the city grew up around it. After lunch, find your place on sun deck and enjoy the scenery while sailing toward Cologne.

Day 6: Cologne (B,L,D) cruise-icon

Today we arrive at the cathedral city, Cologne where the thousand-year-old Cologne Cathedral towers the cityscape. The church miraculously escaped from the Allies bomb during World War II. Trying the local beer is almost a must at the beer stalls near to the old town.

Day 7:  Rudesheim (B,L,D)  cruise-icon

Enjoy a delicious breakfast while the ship sails along the Rhine. After Koblenz, the line is called “the Romantic Rhine”. Here it flows through the Rhinkloft with the Lorelei rock stands 120 meters above the river. The area is on the UNESCO World Heritage Site with more than 40 castles and medieval fortresses and many beautiful wine country villages. Lorelei was personified back in the Middle Ages as an enchanting and seductive woman. Romantic fairy tales and stories have built the myth of how she led sailors in an accident because she charmed them with beautiful songs and diverted their attention from the dangerous cliffs …! In the afternoon, we arrive at the famous wine town Rüdesheim. The city is part of the Upper Middle East, which was listed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 2002. Rüdesheim is also well-known for its half-timbered houses, wine bars and not least the world-famous street “Drosselgasse”. The street is in the heart of the old town and is a tourist magnet due to its charm, wine houses and restaurants.

Day 8: Mainz – Frankfurt (B,L,D)  cruise-icon

During the night, the ship sails from Rüdesheim to Mainz. Lunch is served while sailing on to Nuremberg. In the afternoon we enter into Main – Donau canal, famous Europa canal, which connects the North Sea and Atlantic Ocean to the Black Sea, providing a navigable artery between the Rhine delta and the Danube Delta in south-eastern Romania. Along the course of the canal there are 16 locks with lifting heights of up to 25 metres.

Day 12: Nuremberg (B,L,D) cruise-icon
