Your journey begins in the capital city of China, Beijing. Visit Tienanmen Square and the incredible Forbidden City before witnessing the most iconic site in China, The Great Wall. Travel by high speed train to Xi’an where you will see the Terracotta Warriors in all their glory. Onward to Suzhou and Hangzhou before spending time in Shanghai, embarking on a cruise down Huangpu River.

Enjoy some time in Hong Kong where you can explore, shop and eat to your heart’s content before boarding your Cathay Pacific flight home to Australia.

 Day 1: Australia –airplane-takeoff– Beijing

Today your China holiday begins with an international flight to Beijing. Upon arrival you will be warmly greeted by our representative and then transferred to you hotel where the rest of the evening is at leisure to relax after your flight.

(Some flights may depart one day earlier)

Day 2: Beijing (B)

Your journey begins in the capital city of China. First we will head to the centre of Beijing, Tiananmen Square the second largest public square in the world!  After, continue to the incredible Forbidden City, imperial palace complex and the residence of Chinese emperors from the Ming through to the Qing dynasties. The Forbidden City was declared a World Heritage Site in 1987 and is listed by UNESCO as the largest collection of preserved ancient wooden structures in the world!

Next, visit a fresh water pearl exhibition, a very famous Chinese accessory.

Optional Tour (additional cost applies): The Golden Mask Dynasty, tonight, enjoy a live show that incorporates dancing, acrobatics, some magnificent costumes and one or two surprises A show you shouldn’t miss while you are in Beijing!

Day 3: Beijing (B)

One of the biggest highlights of your tour, the most iconic sight of China, The Great Wall. Juyong pass, is one of the three famous passes along the wall, you can also see some other ancient architecture. Then visit a local jade carving workshop where you will find our more about Jade, China’s most precious and celebrated stone

Optional Tour (additional cost applies):  Traditional alleys Hutong and Shichahai tour with dinner. There are many residents reluctant to move from their beloved hutongs, and many have been converted into boutiques, teahouses, and restaurants.

Day 4: Beijing – train-icon– Xi’an (B)

After breakfast, we learn about the history and development of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in Tong Ren Tang, the largest Traditional Chinese Medicine producer in the world.

Later you will  board a high speed train to Xi’an. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel

Day 5: Xi’an (B,L)

Xian, the ancient capital for more than a thousand years. Today we visit one of the must-see attractions in China, the Terracotta Warriors, thousands of life-size, hand-molded army figures buried with China’s first emperor, Qin Shi Huang. Then you can find terracotta soldiers which are still made today in a Terracotta Warriors Factory. Later stroll on the beautifully preserved Ancient City Walls that enclose Xian’s old town.

Optional Tour (additional cost applies): Tonight enjoy dumplings and a performance of Tang Dynasty dancing show. A wonderful performance of the ancient music and dance, is a must when you visit Xian.

Day 6: Xi’an – train-icon – Shanghai – Suzhou (B)

Ride on the High-speed train to Shanghai and then continue to Suzhou also known as “Venice of the East”,  known for its canals, bridges and classical gardens. Visit Shantang Street, experience Chinese water town, one of the most famous water townships in China, followed by a visit to old street.

Optional Tour (additional cost applies): A local market walking tour and boat ride on the Grand Canal

Day 7: Suzhou – Hangzhou (B,L)

This morning, relax in Lingering Garden, a renowned classical Chinese garden. Then visit a local Silk Spinning factory for an insight in to the history of Chinese silk manufacturing. Finish today’s activities with a Boat ride on West Lake, enjoy the beautiful scenery that surrounds you and has inspired famous poets, scholars and artists since the 9th Century.

Day 8: Hangzhou – Shanghai (B,L)

Taste the famous Chinese Green Tea – Dragon Well Tea in a Tea Village this morning before we travel to Shanghai. Upon arrival in to this metropolis and financial city, spend some time strolling along The Bund. Then visit City God Temple, the temple’s surrounding area and vicinity is a large commercial district that hosts an array of shops, restaurants, teahouses.

Optional Tour (additional cost applies): Tonight, another show you shouldn’t miss: ERA “The Intersection of Time” a captivating combination of Chinese history, mesmerizing martial arts and incredible special effects. 

Day 9: Shanghai (B)

This morning, we visit the museum of ancient Chinese art, Shanghai Museum. Then the rest of the day is free at your leisure to explore Shanghai, alternatively join an optional half day tour of Shanghai followed by a Huangpu River cruise.

Optional Tour (additional cost applies): Half day tour of Shanghai followed by the Huangpu River on a panoramic cruise. Enjoy the view of the river veiled in the glittery neon lights on its banks.

Day 10: Shanghai –airplane-takeoff– Hong Kong (B)

Today we Fly to Hong Kong, on arrival in Hong Kong, the gourmet and shopping paradise of Asia, you will be transferred to your hotel where the rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 11: Hong Kong (B)

Today is free at your own leisure to explore, shop and eat your way around Hong Kong.

Optional Tour (additional cost applies): Half day tour in Hong Kong Island including peak tram ride 

Day 12 Hong Kong –airplane-takeoff– Australia (B)

At the appropriate time you will be transferred to the airport for your homeward flight. We hope you have enjoyed your tour of China with us!

Payment Information: 

  • A deposit of $499 per person are due at the time of purchase in order to secure your date.
  • All peak season surcharges, interstate surcharges (if applicable) and single supplements (if applicable) are also due at the time of purchase and will be reflected at the checkout stage.
  • Final Payment is due 120 days prior to travel. If you book within 120 days of travel, you will be sent an invoice within 7 days for final payment.

  • Invoices will be emailed to you in advance and it is your responsibility to ensure payments are made prior to the due date

Flight Information

 

Airline: 

  • International return economy airfare with Cathay Pacific
  • Adelaide & Perth – Other Premium Airlines may be used if Cathay Pacific is not available 
  • Customers may be flown to Sydney or Melbourne to join their international flights.
  • Including minimum 23kg of checked baggage per passenger (actual limit is subject to airline).
  • One return airfare is supplied per voucher
  • Names cannot be changed once flights have been booked. 
  • The airfare remains non-refundable at all times.

Flights:

  • Note that the total length of the package includes time spent in flight as specified in the itinerary
  • Some flights may depart a day before/after, involve up to 2 transits, stopover or a substitute airline. These changes are beyond our control and will be confirmed upon booking.
  • Once your flights are confirmed and ticketed, flights are non-refundable and non-changeable. Full names (First, Middle & Surname) as per passport must be provided for ticketing.
  • Please Note, flight itineraries will not be provided until 30 days prior to departure. If your travel dates are within 30 days of purchase you will be provided with your itinerary within 7 days. 

Schedule Changes: 

  • Airline schedule changes or cancellations can happen from time to time and are beyond our control. The customer is responsible for reviewing their flight schedule prior to their departure. Webjet Exclusives endeavours to assist customers where possible, however should any change or cancellation occur, please contact your Travel Insurance provider to check whether you are covered by your policy.

Flight Variations: 

If you wish to modify the promotional airfare included in your Webjet Exclusives package, the following Flight Variations can be requested:

  • Early arrival
  • Late departure
  • Upgrade to Premium Economy or Business Class where available
  • Airline of your choice where available

 A $250 per person “breakaway” charge will apply per person plus any applicable fare and tax difference.

In order to obtain a quote for your requested variations, you must purchase your vouchers first and submit your request via the online booking form. On this form will be a section highlighted “Flight Quote Request”. You must complete the mandatory information in this section to be provided with an accurate quote.

PLEASE NOTE: No flight requests/quotes/upgrades will be actioned until your final payment has been made. After this you will be contacted in relation to your request. Payment of the breakaway fee and any applicable fare and tax difference must be paid at time of quotation in order to confirm your flights. 

Flights are booked in departure date order and we endeavour to send you this information 30 days before departure, if not sooner. 

Once flights have been confirmed and ticketed, any voluntary changes made thereafter will incur a change fee plus any fare and tax difference.

Stay behind surcharge:

If you wish to extend your trip, a $250 per person breakaway charge will apply (subject to availability and applicable fare difference). Your stay behind request must be submitted when completing your booking form. Only the return date can be altered. 

Extending your trip: 

If you wish to alter or extend your trip, please purchase your voucher first and submit a request on your booking form. You will then be provided quotations for any alterations or extensions. Should you wish to proceed any additional charges will be collected. However if you are unhappy with the options a full refund of the voucher will be provided
