Day 1: Australia – airplane-takeoff– Bergen 

Depart Australia today to begin your incredible Scandinavia & Icelandic adventure!

Day 2: Bergen 

Arrive in to Bergen and make your own way to your centrally located hotel. You are then at leisure to enjoy this historic town and relax after your journey.

Bergen is surrounded by mountains and fjords, including Sognefjord, the country’s longest and deepest. Bryggen features colourful wooden houses on the old wharf, once a centre of the Hanseatic League’s trading empire. 

Day 3: Bergen (B)

Today is a full day to explore this picturesque city at your own pace.

Day 4: Bergen – train-icon– Voss (B) 

Spend the day discovering Bergen at your leisure. Essential sights are the old Bryggen harbour, the fish and flower markets, and St Mary’s Church, the oldest building in the city. We also recommend catching the funicular railway to the top of Mt Floyen for wonderful views. After lunch it is time to make your way to the railway station in Bergen for your train trip to Voss; approximately 1 hours and 20 minutes. On arrival to Voss, you are just a few hundred meters from your hotel for the next two nights.

Day 5: Voss – Flam –bus-icon – Gudvangen – cruise-icon– Flam –train-icon – Voss (B) 

Your tour from Voss starts by traveling by bus, beginning within a very short walk from your hotel, through charming villages and scenic nature landscapes, towards Gudvangen. The bus will arrive in Gudvangen, where you continue the tour by taking a fjord cruise on the on the narrow Nærøyfjord and the magnificent Aurlandsfjord. The Aurlandsfjord is a picturesque fjord that offers stunning views, while the Nærøyfjord is a dramatic fjord surrounded by high mountains. Nærøyfjorden is one of the most narrow fjords in Europe and included on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. After your fjord cruise you arrive in the small village of Flåm, nestled in the innermost part of the Aurlandsfjord, where your tour continues by taking the legendary Flåm Railway. The Flåm Railway offers spectacular panoramic views to some of the wildest and most magnificent nature in the Norwegian fjord landscape. The Flåm Railway will arrive in Myrdal, where you change trains to the Bergen Railway and travel back to Voss – upon arrival short walk to your hotel. Evening at leisure after a day tour which can compete with the best excursions in the world.

Day 6: Voss –train-icon – Oslo (B) 

Travel to Oslo on the historic Bergen Railway. Starting from sea level, this remarkable train journey rises to cross a windswept mountain plateau before descending through a landscape of lakes, waterfalls and forests to the Norwegian capital. A spectacular day not to forget! On arrival, make the short distance to your hotel for your overnight stay.

Day 7: Oslo –cruise-icon – Copenhagen (B)

Today, the morning is at leisure to explore the Norwegian capital. At the appropriate time, make your way to the central ferry port to board your overnight ferry to Copenhagen.

Day 8: Copenhagen (B)

This morning, your ferry ports into Copenhagen. Disembark your ship and make your way to your hotel.  Copenhagen, Denmark’s capital, sits on the coastal islands of Zealand and Amager. It’s linked to Malmo in southern Sweden by the Öresund Bridge. Indre By, the city’s historic centre, contains Frederiksstaden, an 18th-century rococo district, home to the royal family’s Amalienborg Palace. Nearby is Christiansborg Palace and the Renaissance-era Rosenborg Castle, surrounded by gardens and home to the crown jewels. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 9: Copenhagen (B) 

After breakfast, enjoy a guided city tour of Copenhagen. Begin with the Nyhavn or Canal District. Lined by brightly coloured 17th and early 18th century townhouses and bars, cafes and restaurants. The canal also harbours many historical wooden ships. Continue on to the Christiansborg Palace, located on the tiny island of Slotsholmen. It contains the Danish Parliament Folketinget, the Supreme Court, and the Ministry of State. Parts of the palace are used by the Royal Family for various functions and events. The Royal Reception Rooms include The Tower Room and The Oval Throne Room where foreign ambassadors to Denmark are received by the Queen. View The Little Mermaid statue, based on the fairy tale of the same name by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen, the small and unimposing statue is a Copenhagen icon and has been a major tourist attraction since 1913.

Day 10: Copenhagen – train-icon– Stockholm (B)

This morning make your own way to the train station to head for Sweden’s capital, Stockholm. Stockholm encompasses 14 islands of the vast Stockholm archipelago on the Baltic Sea. The cobblestone streets and ochre-colored buildings of medieval Gamla Stan, the old town, are home to a 13th-century cathedral, the royal palace of Kungliga Slottet and its underground armory, cafes and restaurants. On arrival make your own way to your central hotel. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure. 

Day 11:  Stockholm (B)

Today, enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of Stockholm’s city centre. Aboard a comfortable coach, tour the city’s highlights like Stadshuset (City Hall), the island of Djurgården, the Vasa Museum and Kungliga Slottet (the Royal Palace). Then hop on to a canal boat to cruise around the city’s scenic archipelago and end with a fantastic photo op of the coastal city’s skyline. 

Day 12: Stockholm — Helsinki (B)

Today, make your way to the port to board a overnight ferry for a cruise through Stockholm Archipelago’s 25,000 islands before sailing on to Helsinki. On board you can enjoy dancing and great entertainment, good food, and fun shopping. 

Day 13: Helsinki (B)

This morning, wake in Helsinki, Finland. Disembark from your ferry and make your own way to your central hotel before enjoying the day exploring Finland’s capital at your own pace. Finland sits on a peninsula in the Gulf of Finland. Its central artery, Mannerheimintie, is flanked by institutions including the National Museum, tracing Finnish history from the Stone Age to the present, imposing Parliament House and Kiasma contemporary art museum. 

Day 14: Helsinki – airplane-takeoff– Reykjavik 

After breakfast, check out of your hotel for your onwards journey to Iceland! Make your own way to the airport to board your flight. On arrival into Reykjavik, transfer from the airport to your Reykjavik hotel as per your own arrangement, then explore the world’s northernmost capital at your leisure for the remainder of the day. Reykjavik, on the coast of Iceland, is the country’s capital and largest city. It’s home to the National and Saga museums, tracing Iceland’s Viking history. The striking concrete Hallgrimskirkja church and rotating Perlan glass dome offer sweeping views of the sea and nearby hills. Exemplifying the island’s volcanic activity is the geothermal Blue Lagoon spa, near the village of Grindavik

Day 15: Reykjavik – Golden Circle – Gullfoss – Geysir – Reykjavik (B) 

Today you will be collected from your hotel to enjoy a tour of some of Iceland’s natural wonders. Begin with the awe-inspiring Gullfoss waterfall. Gullfoss (Golden Waterfall) is an iconic waterfall of Iceland offering a spectacular view of the forces and beauty of untouched nature. Gullfoss is part of the Golden Circle tour, located in South Iceland on the Hvítá (White) river which is fed by Iceland´s second biggest glacier, the Langjökull. The water plummets down 32 meters in two stages into a rugged canyon which walls reach up to 70 meters in height. On a sunny day shimmering rainbow can be seen over the falls. Continue on to explore the bubbling mud pools, geysers and hot springs of the Geysir district. One of the greatest natural attractions of Iceland, Strokkur (The Churn), erupts at regular intervals every 10 minutes or so and its white column of boiling water can reach as high as 30 meters. The whole area is a geothermal park sitting on top of a vast boiling cauldron. Travel on to the UNESCO Thingvellir National Park to witness its natural beauty. The whole tour takes approximately 8 hours, after it’s conclusion you will be dropped back at your Reykjavik hotel where the evening is at leisure.

Day 16: Reykjavik (B) 

Today is a full day to enjoy Reykjavik and the Icelandic way of life.

Day 17: Reykjavik – airplane-takeoff – Akureyri – Lake Myvatn – Akureyri – airplane-takeoff– Reykjavik (B) 

This morning, make your way back to Reykjavik airport to board your internal flight to Akureyri on the northern coast of Iceland. On arrival you will be collected from the airport. Begin the day with a visit to the fabulous Godafoss waterfall before heading to Lake Myvatn – a bird sanctuary with one of the highest concentrations of breeding ducks in the world. See the active Krafla volcano and the sulphur mud pots at Hverarond, then enjoy a walking tour of Dimmuborgir, a surreal lava park. After, you’ll be returned to the airport for your flight back to Reykjavik in the late afternoon.

Day 18: Reykjavik – airplane-takeoff– Australia (B) 

After breakfast, check out of your hotel for your onwards journey. Make your own way to the airport to board your flight. We hope you have enjoyed your Arctic experience!

Free Date Changes:

  • After booking your travel and paying the deposit, you may change your travel date subject to the following terms.
  • Changes can only be made up until 210 days prior to travel or final payment, whichever is earlier. After this point, your booking becomes non-changeable and remains strictly non-refundable.
  • Any change is subject to availability

  • If you choose to change your travel date, you will be requested to complete another booking form. Please ensure you include all preferences and special requests, as prior submissions will not be considered in finalising your booking.

Deposit Information:

  • A deposit of $499 per person plus any applicable surcharges are due at the time of purchase in order to secure your date. We offer a FREE date change policy allowing you to change your departure date any time up until your final payment is made.

Flight Information

 

Airline: 

  • Return economy airfares with KLM (Finnair, Malaysia Airlines, British Airways, China Southern or similar if unavailable)
  • •Internal airfares are with Icelandic Air and Scandinavian Airlines (or similar)
  • Adelaide/ Brisbane – A $250 Interstate surcharges applies per person. 
  • Including minimum 23kg of checked baggage per passenger (actual limit is subject to airline).

  • Flights cannot be used one-way only

Flights:

  • Note that the total length of the package includes time spent in flight as specified in the itinerary
  • Some flights may depart a day before/after, involve up to 2 transits, stopover or a substitute airline. These changes are beyond our control and will be confirmed upon booking.
  • Full names (First, Middle & Surname) as per passport must be provided for ticketing. Passport Details are also required at time of booking in order to confirm your flights.
  • Once your flights are confirmed and ticketed, flights are non-refundable and non-changeable.
  • Flight itineraries will not be provided until 30 days prior to departure, along with final documentation.
  • All flights have been booked to meet minimum connection times as per airline policy and fare rules.

Schedule Changes: 

  • Airline schedule changes or cancellations can happen from time to time and are beyond our control. The customer is responsible for reviewing their flight schedule prior to their departure. Webjet Exclusives endeavours to assist customers where possible, however should any change or cancellation occur, please contact your Travel Insurance provider to check whether you are covered by your policy.

Flight Variations:

Option 1: Arrive early and/or extend your stay post tour with the promotional airline

  • A flat fee of $350.00 per person is applied per person should you wish to arrive early and/or extend your stay. Fee is non-negotiable and must be paid before your flight variation can be confirmed.
  • Please select how many days you want to arrive early and/or extend your stay by on your Booking Form. 
  • Flights will arrive into the city as per the tour itinerary and depart from the city as per tour itinerary. Customers cannot choose another airport or city for their arrival and/or departure.
  • All flights will be booked with the promotional airfare available at the time of booking – for your choice of preferred airline or cabin class, please see below.
  • Your fight request is subject to availability and if the promotional airfare is not available, you will be quoted the fare difference in addition to the flat fee.
  • You will be sent an invoice for the additional fee after your booking form has been received. Once this invoice has been paid, your flights will be ticketed based on the days you have requested. Your varied flight itinerary will not be provided in advance of ticketing and once your flights have been ticketed, no further changes can be made.
  • If the invoice is not paid by the expiry date, you will be automatically booked on the promotional airfare for the standard dates of the package.
  • If you are wishing to arrange internal flights, this must be arranged at your own expense. Webjet Exclusives cannot assist with the purchase of additional flights outside of the itinerary.
  • Webjet Exclusives are unable to provide any additional accommodation outside of the tour itinerary and this will need to be arranged at your own expense. By extending your departure date, you will also forfeit the included airport transfer (if applicable) and will need to make your own way to the airport at your own expense.

 Option 2: Upgrade to Premium Economy or Business Class (where available)

  • A flat fee of $350.00 per person, plus additional airfare and taxes will be quoted if choosing to upgrade your flights to another cabin class.
  • Please select your preferred cabin class from the drop down box on the booking form at the time of making your purchase.
  • If you have a preferred airline for your upgrade quote, please mention this in the Special Request field of your Booking Form. If no specific airline is requested, the best available fare will be quoted to you.
  • Your quote will not be provided immediately and will be processed in departure date order only after the 2nd Instalment has been paid.
  • The quote will be sent via email only and will include clear instructions on how to make payment. Failure to pay by the stipulated date and time will cause the quote to expire, by which Webjet Exclusives will proceed to book the promotional airfare included in your packages.
  • If also choosing to arrival early and/or extend your stay, this will be quoted to you in conjunction with your preferred airline request.

 Should you be unsatisfied with the quote provided for your cabin upgrade, you can opt to:

1. Travel with the group as per the tour itinerary on the promotional airfare or;
2.Take the package as Land Only and receive a refund of the Land Only discount, if available.

Once your flights have been confirmed and ticketed, no further changes can be made and your booking will remain non-refundable.

Option 3: Choose an alternative airline

  • A flat fee of $350.00 per person, plus additional airfare and taxes will be quoted if choosing to travel with a premium airline for your tour.
  • Please specify your preferred airline in the Special Request field of your booking form.
  • Your quote will not be provided immediately and will be processed in departure date order only after the 2nd Instalment has been paid.
  • The quote will be sent via email only and will include clear instructions on how to make payment. Failure to pay by the stipulated date and time will cause the quote to expire, by which Webjet Exclusives will proceed to confirm your flights as per the tour itinerary.
  • If also choosing to arrival early and/or extend your stay, this will be quoted to you in conjunction with your preferred airline request.
