Day 1: Australia –  airplane-takeoff– Shanghai, China

Today, board your flight to Shanghai!

Located at the mouth of the Yangtze River, this seaport is a vigorous modern metropolis with a rich Chinese heritage. Your trip to Shanghai is not complete without strolling the Bund, a colonial-era street with neoclassical and art deco architecture, a visit to the Jade Buddha Temple or the beautiful Yu Gardens. Don’t forget to stop and pick up authentic Chinese souvenirs in the Old City God’s Temple Market.

On arrival, make your own way to your Shanghai hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 2: Shanghai (Baoshan), China cruise-icon

Enjoy this morning at leisure before making your own way at the appropriate time to the terminal to
board your cruise.

Day 3: At Sea  (B,L,D) cruise-icon

This day is yours to do as much or as little as you like. Take a Celebrity iLearn class and bring your holiday photos to life. Catch some sun at the pool where butlers keep you refreshed with chilled towels and sorbets. Schedule a stone massage at the Canyon Ranch SpaClub®. Join a yoga class in the fitness centre with floor-to-ceiling views of the sea. Or take a food-and-wine-pairing workshop to step up your culinary game.

Day 4: At Sea  (B,L,D) cruise-icon

This day is yours to do as much or as little as you like. Check your Celebrity Today daily newsletter for a list of what’s going on each day.

Day 5: Tianjin, China  (B,L,D) cruise-icon

The sixth largest city in the People’s Republic of China, Tainjin is the home of the respected Beijing opera and the Monastery of Deep Compassion, a leading Buddhist shrine.

Day 6: Tianjin, China (B,L,D) cruise-icon

Don’t miss the Tianjin Eye while here in port. It’s a 390-foot tall Ferris wheel built right above the Yongle Bridge.

Day 7: Tianjin, China  (B,L,D) cruise-icon

Hunt for silverware, porcelain, clocks and memorabilia in the Antique Market and visit the iconic Tianjin Museum, whose architecture mimics the shape of a swan spreading its wings.

Day 8: At Sea (B,L,D) cruise-icon

This day is yours to do as much or as little as you like. Check your Celebrity Today daily newsletter for a list of what’s going on each day.

Day 9: Seoul (Incheon), South Korea (B,L,D) cruise-icon

Incheon is South Korea’s third-largest metropolis and the largest seaport on the west coast. This capital city is a mix of modern skyscrapers, sophisticated complexes (like the 1988 Olympic Games complex), ancient palaces, Buddhist temples and tranquil gardens. It offers memorable experiences such as watching the sun set over the ocean from a garden bench, wiggling your toes in fine, silver sand, sitting on the rocks along the shore, sport fishing for the day and being dazzled by red and blue silk-covered lanterns lighting up the trees at night. Hike to either the top of Bukhan Mountain or Namsan Mountain, where you’ll enjoy 360 degree views of downtown Seoul.

Day 10: Jeju Island, South Korea  (B,L,D) cruise-icon

South Korea’s tropical island paradise will enchant you with its sandy beaches, swaying palm trees and amazing volcanic landscape. Need a break from your beach towel? Waterfalls, museums, folk villages, scuba diving, hiking and festivals galore will keep you busy. Explore the colourful coral and sea life with a scuba dive off the coast of laid-back Seogwipo. Take an underground stroll through the world’s longest lava-tube cave at Manjanggul.

Day 11: At Sea (B,L,D) cruise-icon

This day is yours to do as much or as little as you like. Check your Celebrity Today daily newsletter for a list of what’s going on each day.

Day 12: Kobe, Japan (B,L,D) cruise-icon

Perched on a hillside overlooking the sea, Kobe is one of Japan’s most attractive and cosmopolitan cities. Home of the heralded Kobe beef, this small city is easily navigated.

Day 13: Kobe, Japan  (B,L,D) cruise-icon

Visit the Hatsukura Sake Brewery Museum for a tour or dine in one of the area’s incredible restaurants.

Day 14: Mt. Fuji (Shimizu), Japan (B,L,D) cruise-icon

On clear days, particularly in winter, Mount Fuji (Fuji-san in Japanese) is visible from as far as Tokyo, 60 miles away. When Japan’s highest mountain is capped with snow, it’s a picture-postcard perfect volcanic cone. One of the best-known symbols of Japan, this iconic mountain has been considered sacred since ancient times and was even forbidden to women until the early 1900s.

Day 15: Tokyo (Yokohama), Japan  (B,L,D) cruise-icon

Even though Tokyo is among the largest, most frenetic cities in the world, it’s still able to maintain a great deal of efficiency and charm. Amid the endless buzzing neon signs and the overhead cable webs, Tokyo is home to some of the world’s most impressive architecture, stylish shops and restaurants. But just a short distance outside the clamour of the city is a whole different world. In the surrounding small towns and villages you’ll get a glimpse into Japan’s rich culture and traditions. Here you’ll discover scores of wooden residential homes, ancient temples, shrines and imperial gardens. From the frenzy-filled metropolis to the tranquil bonsai-tree-lined neighbourhoods, Tokyo is truly a study in delightful contrasts.

Day 16: Tokyo (Yokohama), Japan

At the appropriate time, disembark the cruise ship and make your own way to your Tokyo hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 17: Tokyo, Japan
