Arrive in Calgary and make your way to your hotel.

Day 2: Calgary – Banff (B)

Depart Calgary this morning for a full-day tour concluding in Banff. Journey to Kananaskis where you will enjoy the highlight of today, a 12-minute Panoramic Helicopter Tour over the remarkable landscape of the Rockies:

Put on your best James Bond accent and take to the skies with a Panoramic Helicopter Tour. This 12-minute spine-tingling adventure will have you soaring 2,300 metres above sea level, giving you a totally incredible view of glaciers, mountain vistas, lakes, and waterfalls. This is the Rockies as you’ve never seen them.

Continue on to Banff for a sightseeing tour including Bow Falls, Lake Minnewanka, Surprise Corner and the Hoodoos. Banff Gondola included. Your tour ends on arrival in Banff late this afternoon. Overnight in Banff.

Day 3: Banff – train-icon– Kamloops (B,L)

Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from the mountain town of Banff to Kamloops, in the heart of the BC Interior. Enjoy the spectacular array of scenery as you travel between the glacier and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies, over mountain passes and through remarkable tunnels, along rocky lakeshores and across the ranchlands of the Interior. Today’s highlights include the Continental Divide, the Spiral Tunnels, Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass, and Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven. Overnight in Kamloops.

Day 4: Kamloops –train-icon – Vancouver (B,L)

Your journey continues towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. You will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the Interior, through winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade Mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Your rail journey ends on arrival in Vancouver.

Day 5: Vancouver (B)

Day at leisure to explore Vancouver. Vancouver is located between the majestic snowcapped Coast Mountains and the Pacific Ocean, enjoys a mild climate year-round and is surrounded by some of the most stunning natural beauty in the world.  From city pursuits like cooking classes, museums, galleries and more, to outdoor thrills like white water rafting, deep sea fishing, zip-trekking and more, there’s never a shortage of activity in and around Vancouver. The sky’s the limit, and even then, where there’s a will there’s a way (and a seaplane to take you up).

Day 6: Vancouver –airplane-takeoff – Sitka (B)

Check out of the hotel in Vancouver and make your own way to Vancouver Airport to board the flight to Sitka. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to the hotel.

Day 7: Sitka, Alaska – Cruise Embarkation (B,D) cruise-icon

Check out of the hotel this morning and join the shared transfer to the hospitality area from where you will be transferred to the ship. Your luggage will be transported from the hotel to the ship. Welcome aboard! It’s time to relax and meet your crew. And as you sail away in Sitka Sound, what’s also worthy of your precious time are the unmistakable views of Mt. Edgecumbe—a volcanic wonder in its own right.

Day 8: Krestof Sound / Nakwasina Sound (B,L,D) cruise-icon

Shhh. If you don’t say a word, you can hear the sounds of these Sounds. Dense Baranof Island forest to one side. Small, wild, lesser-known islands on the other. You might even spot black bears loping on shore although they’re likely to catch a whiff of you first. And keep watch for neighboring sea lions and eagles, too. Your first day offers options to drop anchor and find adventure. Slip into a kayak. Nose along shore in a skiff. Or head into the Tongass National Forest on foot with your expedition team. The possibilities, endless. Reward yourself when you get back to the boat, the crew will have a treat waiting.

Day 9: Icy Strait (B,L,D) cruise-icon

Nothing like kick starting the morning with on-deck yoga stretches and a chaser of exploration mode d’jour—motor, paddle, boots. It might be your toughest transition of the day. In and around Icy Strait, glide through giant bullwhip kelp (it can grow to over 100 feet long). Skiff to a rocky outcropping and watch sea lions play. Mud boots serve their purpose on a forest hike with your top-notch guides, who are sharp and have plenty to share about everything Alaska—animals, plants, and even geology. At the end of this unforgettable day, you’ve earned a soak in the hot tub.

Day 10: Glacier Bay National Park (B,L,D) cruise-icon

Enter, the granddaddy of national parks—Glacier Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Biosphere Reserve. Once you round Point Gustavus, a park ranger joins you on board with a font of knowledge. The specialness of this place starts to sink in, as one of its truly privileged visitors. Sea lions jockey for position among puffins, black oystercatchers, and other sea birds at South Marble Island. Mountain goats climb and bears scrounge for food along the park’s inland shores. Motor deeper into the park to Margerie and Grand Pacific, two tidewater glaciers on their downward march into the bay.

Day 11: Chichagof Island (B,L,D) cruise-icon

Your course is set—wildlife-rich Alaskan wilderness. Head to the bridge or bow, and watch for whales and other creatures before tucking into Port Frederick or some other wild inlet. You’re about to get a close up look. Muskeg under foot, head out on a bushwhacking hike in the Tongass National Forest or board a skiff, eyes wide for bears on shore.

Day 12: Lynn Canal / Captain’s Choice (B,L,D) cruise-icon

Not so much a canal, as a fjord—in fact, North America’s deepest at over 2,000 feet. This once major route of Klondike gold rushers is now a busy inlet for humpbacks, orcas, Dall’s porpoise, Steller sea lions, salmon, halibut, and mischievous river otters. And that’s at water level. Look up, and you see bald eagles. Looking like golf balls in the tree tops when they’re not soaring overhead. But it’s not all looking and seeing today, your captain is on task to pick the prime spot for adventure. Feel the burn on a long paddling excursion. Search tide pools for microscopic life. Or, hike a shadow-filled forest.

Day 13: Haines, Alaska (B,L,D) cruise-icon

The unofficial adventure capital of Alaska. Hard-charging or smell the flowers, pick your speed. In this bald eagle hotspot, you have choices to make. Hit the trailhead with your guides to the top of Chilkat Peninsula or the shores of Chilkat Inlet. Some of the best trails with the best views. Or, raft along the Chilkat River on a float trip through the bald eagle preserve. The local history—native culture, influence from European explorers, as a US Army outpost, and its gold rush past. Chilkat Tlingit members come aboard and share their tribe’s cultural history and thousands-of-year-old legacy. Soak it up. Then see the sites on foot or by bike with free time in town. It’s a big day. Tonight, celebrate your voyage with a Farewell Dinner and special photo recap from your expedition team.

Day 14: Juneau – Disembarkation (B)

It’s your last morning of freshly baked pastries. Eat ‘em up and get in your farewells as you cruise into Juneau to transfer to begin your hotel stay at the Sheraton Four Points. You will be transferred from the ship to the hotel and after check in the remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 15: Juneau – airplane-takeoff– Anchorage

Check out of the hotel in time for the transfer to the airport to board the flight to Anchorage. Arrive into Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city. Upon arrival into Anchorage you will be met by your local tour director, and transfer to your local hotel.

Day 16: Anchorage – Seward (B,D)

Enjoy a brief city tour of Anchorage, which includes the historic downtown district. Included visit to the Anchorage Museum, a world-class museum which seeks to preserve, exhibit and interpret the art and history of Alaska. Board the deluxe motorcoach for today’s grand adventure to Seward, gateway to the Kenai Fjords National Park. As you travel along the scenic Turnagain Arm, keep an eye out for Dall sheep high up in the rocky cliffs, as well as moose, bear and eagle on your journey. Welcome dinner included this evening. Overnight Seward.

Day 17: Seward (B,L)

Spend the morning exploring the coastal community of Seward. Later this morning, board a glacier and wildlife cruise and travel through the majestic Kenai Fjords National Park. Explore the face of a glacier and keep your eyes open for seals, sea lions, sea otters, whales, walrus, bears, eagles, and puffins throughout this half-day exploration cruise with lunch included on the boat. Overnight Seward.

Day 18: Seward – Denali (B)

Board the motorcoach for a journey north to Denali National Park.  The route takes you along the scenic Parks Highway where you will make several stops along the way. Watch for a glimpse of the majestic Denali and wildlife along the way. Evening open for optional tours. Overnight Denali.

Day 19: Denali (B)

This morning travel deep into Denali National Park on the Tundra Wilderness Tour and search the vast wilderness for bear, moose, caribou, and Dall sheep. This six to eight hour journey is narrated allowing for insight into the animals, flora and fauna of this spectacular region including a snack on the bus. Enjoy an afternoon of exploring this pristine area at your leisure by either participating in a complimentary park service activity or optional tour. There are many to choose from including mild or wild river rafting, flight seeing, a jet boat safari on the Nenana River or a visit to an Iditarod champion’s award winning dog kennel. Early May & September tours are shortened due to road conditions. Overnight Denali.

Day 20: Denali –train-icon – Talkeetna (B)

This morning ride Deluxe Dome Railcars touring south to the community of Talkeetna, which began as a trading post when gold was first discovered in the Susitna River. The remainder of your day is at leisure to enjoy this quaint town or participate in an optional tour such as flightseeing, hiking, or a jet boat adventure Overnight Talkeetna.

Check out of the hotel this morning and join the shared transfer to the hospitality area and from there to the ship. Your luggage will be transported from the hotel to the ship. Come aboard, meet your crew, and unpack your adventurous spirit. Your course is set for glaciers, and the Tongass—the largest national forest in the U.S.

Day 8: Tracy Arm / Stephens Passage (B,L,D) cruise-icon

Wake in a fjord flanked by sheer granite walls. Grab a hot cup of joe and take it all in from the bow. Cascading waterfalls. Drifting icebergs. A lazy harbor seal or two. Layer up with gloves and a warm hat, and hop in a skiff for a better look at the glacier—the temps drop the closer you get. Your expedition guide clues you in to signs of the ice ages that carved this landscape. The geology is fascinating and so is the wildlife. Keep an eye out for mountain goats, bears, and eagles. Make waves for Stephens Passage. It’s all hands on deck watching for signs of humpbacks. It’s a big first day!

Day 9: Thomas Bay / Baird Glacier (B,L,D) cruise-icon

Have your rubber boots handy. You’re in for muskeg and mud in Alaska’s backcountry. Hiking along Baird’s moraine, look for shimmers of gold and quartz—this area is known for it. The glacial outwash plains look almost lunar, but you’re not alone in this moonscape. The glacial valley is a nesting hot-spot for arctic terns. Splash away the mud before a paddle along the bay’s mossy cliff walls. Back on board, it’s time for a cocktail and a soak in the hot tub.

Day 10: LeConte Glacier / Ideal Cove (B,L,D) cruise-icon

LeConte is the southernmost tidewater glacier in North America. If tides are low, take a boot-sucking walk to check out icebergs resting on the mudflats. If it’s high tide, a skiff ride brings you up-close to its iceberg gardens. Surrounded by national forest, Ideal Cove’s boardwalk trails wind through meadows of ferns and grasses. Or test your balance paddle boarding in this quiet cove. It’s just you and the vast wilderness.

Day 11: Kake / Frederick Sound (B,L,D) cruise-icon

“Kake” comes from a Tlingit word meaning “opening of daylight.” Apropos, start your day in this native village with traditional storytelling and dancing. Count the many totems on their 132-foot pole. Drop the kayaks in Saginaw Bay or some other hidden cove along the Keku Islands. Black bears are common sights along shore. But so are eagles in the treetops and orange-billed surf scoters paddling nearby. For hikers, your guides have a route in mind. Make for the forest, far off the map. Cruising Frederick Sound, chances are high you’ll see humpbacks. The up-welling of nutrients in the water make it an irresistible feeding ground.

Day 12: Baranof Island / Peril Strait (B,L,D) cruise-icon

Leave it to the captain to steer you through Chatham and Peril Straits. At Baranof Island, your top-notch expedition team has the game plan dialed. Tap some of the most untouched wilderness in the Tongass. Head to the woods for an adventuresome bushwhack. Or slide into a kayak for an easygoing shoreline paddle. Find a perch on deck in Peril Strait—it’s a twisting drama of currents and history.

Day 13: Sergius Narrows / Neva Strait (B,L,D) cruise-icon

There aren’t many straight lines along Baranof Island. Its western side is dotted with hundreds of coves and uninhabited islands. This is a prime area for spotting sea otters. It’s no surprise to round a corner in your kayak and find one looking at you and you looking at him. The protected beaches are made for exploring the intertidal zones, and spotting bears. So, boot up for a guided hike. End your day with celebration and a toast at a heartfelt Farewell Dinner. Your expedition team treats you to a photo recap of the week’s adventures.

Day 14: Sitka – Disembarkation (B)

A last breakfast with new friends, then disembark in Sitka for your transfer to Westmark Sitka Hotel. After check in the remainder of the day is at leisure to explore Sitka. The hotel is within a short walk of St. Michael’s, the local Russian Orthodox Church, the Sheet’ka Kwaan Naa Kahidi Community House, the picturesque boat harbor, great fishing, shopping, and “Totem Park.” The hotel is also near the Alaska Raptor Rehabilitation Center. Overnight in Sitka.

Day 15: Sitka – airplane-takeoff– Anchorage

Check out of the hotel in time for the transfer to the airport to board the flight to Anchorage. Arrive into Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city. Upon arrival into Anchorage you will be met by your local tour director, and transfer to your local hotel.

Webjet Exclusives endeavours to assist customers where possible, however should any change or cancellation occur, please contact your Travel Insurance provider to check whether you are covered by your policy.

Flight Variations:

Option 1: Arrive early and/or extend your stay post tour with the promotional airline

A flat fee of $350.00 per person is applied per person should you wish to arrive early and/or extend your stay. Fee is non-negotiable and must be paid before your flight variation can be confirmed.

Please select how many days you want to arrive early and/or extend your stay by on your Booking Form.

Flights will arrive into the city as per the tour itinerary and depart from the city as per tour itinerary. Customers cannot choose another airport or city for their arrival and/or departure.

All flights will be booked with the promotional airfare available at the time of booking – for your choice of preferred airline or cabin class, please see below.

Please note that stopovers are not permitted and you will be flying directly in and out of the cities outlined in the tour itinerary. If you wish to add a stopover to your flights, we recommend you book LAND ONLY and arrange your own International Flights to meet the tour.

Your flight request is subject to availability and if the promotional airfare is not available, you will be quoted the fare difference in addition to the flat fee.

You will be sent an invoice for the additional fee after your booking form has been received. Once this invoice has been paid, your flights will be ticketed based on the days you have requested. Your varied flight itinerary will not be provided in advance of ticketing and once your flights have been ticketed, no further changes can be made.

If the invoice is not paid by the expiry date, you will be automatically booked on the promotional airfare for the standard dates of the package.

If you are wishing to arrange internal flights, this must be arranged at your own expense. Webjet Exclusives cannot assist with the purchase of additional flights outside of the itinerary.

Webjet Exclusives are unable to provide any additional accommodation outside of the tour itinerary and this will need to be arranged at your own expense. By extending your departure date, you will also forfeit the included airport transfer (if applicable) and will need to make your own way to the airport at your own expense.

Option 2: Upgrade to Premium Economy or Business Class (where available)

A flat fee of $350.00 per person, plus additional airfare and taxes will be quoted if choosing to upgrade your flights to another cabin class.

Please select your preferred cabin class from the drop down box on the booking form at the time of making your purchase.

If you have a preferred airline for your upgrade quote, please mention this in the Special Request field of your Booking Form. If no specific airline is requested, the best available fare will be quoted to you.

Your quote will not be provided immediately and will be processed in departure date order only after the 2nd Instalment has been paid.

The quote will be sent via email only and will include clear instructions on how to make payment. Failure to pay by the stipulated date and time will cause the quote to expire, by which Webjet Exclusives will proceed to book the promotional airfare included in your packages.

If also choosing to arrival early and/or extend your stay, this will be quoted to you in conjunction with your preferred airline request.

Please note that stopovers are not permitted and you will be flying directly in and out of the cities outlined in the tour itinerary. If you wish to add a stopover to your flights, we recommend you book LAND ONLY and arrange your own International Flights to meet the tour.

Should you be unsatisfied with the quote provided for your cabin upgrade, you can opt to:

1. Travel with the group as per the tour itinerary on the promotional airfare or;

2.Take the package as Land Only and receive a refund of the Land Only discount, if available.

Once your flights have been confirmed and ticketed, no further changes can be made and your booking will remain non-refundable.

Option 3: Choose an alternative airline

A flat fee of $350.00 per person, plus additional airfare and taxes will be quoted if choosing to travel with a premium airline for your tour.

Please specify your preferred airline in the Special Request field of your booking form.

Your quote will not be provided immediately and will be processed in departure date order only after the 2nd Instalment has been paid.

The quote will be sent via email only and will include clear instructions on how to make payment. Failure to pay by the stipulated date and time will cause the quote to expire, by which Webjet Exclusives will proceed to confirm your flights as per the tour itinerary.

Should you be unsatisfied with the quote provided for your airline preference, you can opt to:

1. Travel with the group as per the tour itinerary on the promotional airfare or;

2.Take the package as Land Only and receive a refund of the Land Only discount, if available.
