Day 1: Australia –  airplane-takeoff– Calgary

Today, depart Australia to begin your Canada & Alaska holiday! On arrival after clearing customs and immigration formalities make your own way to your hotel. The hotel provides a 24/7 airport shuttle. You can request the hotel shuttle with the direct dial phones located in the arrivals hall. On arrival at your hotel the rest of the day is at leisure. Tonight, your Webjet tour guide will welcome you to Canada.

Day 2: Calgary – Lake Louise – Banff – Canmore (B)

This morning after breakfast, begin your first day in the Rocky Mountains with one of its highlights, Lake Louse! Lake Louise is often referred to as the ‘Diamond in the Wilderness’, and it is easy to see why. The region abounds with luxury ski resorts, shopping, fine dining and spectacular scenery, from glaciers to waterfalls. The emerald color of the water comes from rock flour carried into the lake by melt-water from the glaciers that overlook the lake. Enjoy a stroll around the lake taking everlasting photo memories.

After Lake Louise, we make the short trip to Banff, a Canadian mountain town at it’s best! The peaks of Mt. Rundle and Mt. Cascade, part of the Rocky Mountains, dominate its skyline. On Banff Avenue, the main thoroughfare, boutiques and restaurants mix with château-style hotels and souvenir shops. The afternoon is at leisure to enjoy this quaint town.

Tonight, we overnight in the town of Canmore, a short 20 minute drive south of Banff.

Day 3: Canmore – Banff – train-icon– Kamloops (B,L)

After an early breakfast, your private coach will transfer you to the Rocky Mountaineer station in Banff. Here, you’ll be welcomed by the legendary Rocky Mountaineer staff and board your train to begin your unforgettable rail journey through the Rocky Mountains.

Enjoy the spectacular array of scenery as you travel between the glacier and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies, over mountain passes and through remarkable tunnels, along rocky lakeshores and across the ranchlands of the Interior. Today’s highlights include the Continental Divide, the Spiral Tunnels, Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass, and Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven. Tonight, you’ll overnight in the town of Kamloops. The Rocky Mountaineer team will transfer you to your overnight accommodation.

Day 4: Kamloops –   train-icon  – Vancouver (B,L)

This morning, you’ll be collected from your hotel and transferred to the train to continue your second day on the Rocky Mountaineer. Enjoy breakfast on the train as you settle into your seat as the train rolls out of Kamloops. Today your journey continues towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. You will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the Interior, through winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade Mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Your rail journey ends on arrival in Vancouver where your Webjet private coach will collect you and transfer you to your hotel.

Day 5: Vancouver – Embark on cruise (D) cruise-icon

Today, your private motor coach will transport you from the hotel to the Vancouver cruise port to join your luxury 5 star Celebrity Cruise of the inside passage. After settling into your cabin, kick back and begin to enjoy everything your world class ship has to offer.

Day 6: Inside Passage (scenic cruising) (B,L,D) cruise-icon

Today, enjoy everything your ship has to offer as you sail between the Inside Passage. Today you’ll sail beyond the Inside Passage into the more protected Alaska Inside Passage. Home to diverse wildlife—orca, mountain goats, bald eagles, bears, puffins, sea otters and more—the complex labyrinth of fjords and bays are where whales and sea lions find refuge during the summer months.

Day 7: Ketchikan (B,L,D) cruise-icon

You’ve never tasted salmon so fresh. Known as the ‘Salmon Capital of the World’, Ketchikan is also the ancestral home of the Tlingit people, who have carved the world’s largest collection of totem poles. If you’re up for an adventure, take a canoe and nature trail excursion through the rain forest or a wilderness exploration followed by a sumptuous crab feast you can’t resist (optional).

Day 8: Icy Strait Point (B,L,D) cruise-icon

For thousands of years, the Tlingit Indians have called this place home. Located near the city of Hoonah, and home to a historic cannery, Icy Strait Point also offers travelers the chance to view wildlife like humpback whales, orcas, seals, eagles, and brown bears, or to explore monuments to the region’s fishing heritage.

Day 9: Juneau (B,L,D) cruise-icon

Today we are ported in Juneau. Here’s your chance to take a glacial dogsled adventure via helicopter in Alaska’s capital (optional). A city that gracefully balances frontier ruggedness with cosmopolitan flair. Mendenhall Glacier, a river of ice measuring 1.5 miles in width and over 6 miles in length, is part of Juneau’s Icefield, 1500 square miles of ice that feeds 38 glaciers and ready for you to take a float trip on it.

Day 10: Skagway (B,L,D) cruise-icon

The great Klondike Gold Rush lives on in Skagway’s charming downtown of restored 19thcentury buildings and its historic railway. From the vintage train, admire the mountains and see the 1898 trail that fortune seekers traveled on foot. The White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad runs vintage locomotives past the famously steep Chilkoot Trail and offers sweeping mountain views during its climb toward Canada.

Day 11: Hubbard Glacier (B,L,D) cruise-icon

Today you are in for a treat, spectacular views of the Hubbard Glacier. Hubbard Glacier is the largest calving glacier on the North American continent. The glacier routinely calves off icebergs as high as 10-story buildings, sending massive blocks of ice into the sea every few minutes.

Towards the end of your tour:

If you have enjoyed the knowledge, service and expertise of your tour guide and driver a tip (while not compulsory) is appropriate towards the end of your tour. While it may not be customary in Australia, tipping is entrenched into many cultures especially within the tourism industry globally. It helps reward and inspire excellent service. The following is provided to assist our guests, but we leave the decision to provide a gratuity entirely at their discretion:

The group leader: Our past guests have left gratuities based on their overall service of CAD $6 per person per day

The driver & assistant:  Our past guests have left gratuities based on their overall service of CAD $4 per person per day

Gratuities aren’t compulsory on your trip, but they can make a big difference to locals employed in the tourism industry. Your guide will hand around two envelopes towards the end of the tour (1 Tour Guide and 1 Driver envelope) to make the process as easy as possible.

Stay behind surcharge: If you wish to extend your trip, a $250 per person breakaway charge will apply (subject to availability and applicable fare difference). Please purchase your voucher first and Webjet Exclusives will invoice the additional supplement charge when finalising your booking. If you wish to alter or extend your trip, please purchase your voucher first and submit a request on your booking form. Webjet Exclusives will then provide quotations for any alterations or extensions. Should you wish to proceed any additional charges will be collected. However if you are unhappy with the options a full refund of the voucher will be provided.

Flight Variations:

If you wish to modify the promotional airfare included in your Webjet Exclusives package, the following Flight Variations can be requested:

  • Early arrival
  • Late departure
  • Upgrade to Premium Economy or Business Class where available
